TOPDON ONE is a professional diagnostic tablet built for independent repair shops, mobile technicians and experienced automotive professionals. It goes beyond routine fault-code reading and service resets by combining full-system diagnostics, ECU coding for 10+ brands, OE topology mapping, bi-directional active tests and TopFix AI repair guidance in one platform.

Technicians can use TOPDON ONE to scan supported vehicle systems, identify affected control modules, investigate possible causes, command components for testing, and perform supported coding, matching, adaptation and configuration tasks. This creates a connected workflow from initial fault detection through to repair verification.

TOPDON ONE is best suited to multi-brand workshops whose priority is advanced diagnostics and ECU coding. Workshops that require built-in online ECU programming should consider a higher-level programming platform such as TOPDON ONE Plus.

TOPDON ONE supports ECU coding for more than 10 vehicle brands, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, VAG, Nissan, Toyota, Porsche and PSA. On compatible vehicles, technicians can adjust supported ECU configurations, match replacement components or modules, initialize systems after repairs and access supported vehicle settings.

These capabilities help workshops complete more coding and post-repair configuration tasks in-house. Exact functions depend on the vehicle brand, model, year, ECU and installed software version.

Component Matching and System Configuration

Depending on vehicle support, available operations may include:

• Matching supported replacement components or control modules
• Initializing or adapting systems after installation
• Changing supported ECU and vehicle configurations
• Adjusting supported comfort and convenience settings

Coding availability is determined by the individual vehicle and control module. Support for one model or brand does not mean that every coding function is available on every vehicle.

One-Click Customization — Exclusive to TOPDON ONE

TOPDON ONE also provides pre-configured customization options for more than seven supported vehicle brands. Instead of navigating multiple coding menus manually, technicians can quickly access available settings for lighting, door locks, windows, mirrors and other comfort or convenience functions.

The available options are automatically determined by the connected vehicle. One-Click Customization is included with TOPDON ONE but is not available on TOPDON ONE Lite.

TOPDON ONE combines full-system diagnostics with OE-style topology mapping and bi-directional control. Instead of opening each control module separately, technicians can first view the supported vehicle network, identify modules reporting faults and then run targeted tests within the relevant system.

OE Topology Mapping

On compatible vehicles, the topology map displays available control modules, their communication relationships and the number of detected fault codes. Colour-coded module status helps technicians locate affected systems, identify possible communication faults and enter the relevant module directly for further diagnosis.

The topology map does not replace fault analysis, but it provides a faster and clearer starting point when diagnosing vehicles with multiple control units or related system faults.

Bi-Directional Active Tests

Bi-directional control allows TOPDON ONE to send commands to supported vehicle components and observe how they respond. Depending on the vehicle and control module, available tests may include:

• Cooling fan activation
• Fuel pump operation
• Injector tests
• EVAP valve control
• Window and door-lock operation
• Lighting and other supported actuators

Active tests help technicians determine whether a problem is related to the component itself, its wiring or the control system. They can also be used to confirm that a supported component responds correctly after a repair.

Coverage notice: Topology mapping and available active tests vary by vehicle make, model, year, ECU and software version. Vehicles protected by a security gateway may require valid authorization before certain tests can be performed.

TopFix AI Repair Guidance

TopFix AI helps technicians move beyond the fault-code number. For supported vehicles and DTCs, it brings together clear fault-code explanations, likely causes, related symptoms and structured repair guidance within the TOPDON ONE diagnostic workflow.

Where available, wiring diagrams and technical references are displayed alongside the fault information. Technicians can use these resources to plan more focused checks, compare the guidance with live data and active-test results, and verify the actual cause before replacing components.

From Fault Identification to Repair Verification

• Understand the fault: Review a clearer explanation of the detected DTC.
• Investigate possible causes: Check related symptoms and likely fault sources.
• Follow a structured direction: Use available repair steps, wiring diagrams and technical references.
• Verify the result: Confirm the diagnosis using vehicle data, physical checks and supported active tests.

The included ONE VCI can operate as a J2534 Pass-Thru interface between the vehicle and compatible OEM software running on a Windows PC. This gives workshops access to supported manufacturer-specific diagnostic and ECU programming procedures.

J2534 functions are performed through the external OEM software—not directly on the TOPDON ONE tablet. OEM software, accounts, subscriptions and related fees must be obtained separately, and available operations vary by vehicle and manufacturer.
