The LAUNCH X431 PRO5 + SmartLink HD Bundle combines advanced passenger-vehicle diagnostics and ECU programming with professional heavy-duty and off-highway diagnostic capability in one workshop platform.

The PRO5 works with the original SmartLink C 2.0 for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, supporting full-system diagnostics, bi-directional control, ECU coding and J2534 Pass-Thru programming on supported vehicles.

The included SmartLink HD extends the system to 24V heavy-duty and off-highway applications, including supported trucks, buses, agricultural machinery, construction machinery, trailers and vessels.

The PRO5 supplied by TopTool is the Global Version and can be registered and used normally in Europe, with no EU IP restriction for normal diagnostic use.

SmartLink C 2.0 – Advanced VCI for Passenger & Light Commercial Vehicles

The PRO5 includes the original SmartLink C 2.0, providing high-speed communication for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.

It supports advanced diagnostic protocols including CAN-FD and DoIP, and can also function as a J2534 Pass-Thru device for supported OEM ECU programming applications.

Together with the PRO5 tablet, SmartLink C 2.0 enables full-system diagnostics, active tests, ECU coding, adaptations and other advanced workshop functions on supported vehicles.

J2534 Pass-Thru ECU Programming

With SmartLink C 2.0, the PRO5 can be used as a J2534 Pass-Thru interface with supported OEM software for ECU programming and module replacement procedures.

J2534 programming capability depends on the vehicle manufacturer, OEM software, subscription requirements and supported vehicle model.

What happens after the 2-year free update period ends?

The device will not lock itself after the free update period ends, and no mandatory subscription is required.

You can continue using the software version already installed on the device, including reading and clearing fault codes, viewing live data, supported Active Tests, and supported service functions.

Renewing the update service is optional and mainly provides access to future software updates, newer vehicle coverage, and supported online features.

Some functions that require server access, such as certain online programming, online coding, security gateway access, and newer online services, may require an active update service.

If you choose not to renew immediately, you can still renew later whenever needed.
