Is the device original and can it be registered?
Yes. We supply only genuine Autel products.
The Autel MaxiIM IM508S can be activated and registered through the official Autel account system. Each device includes its own unique Autel serial number and activation information.
After receiving the device, you can verify the serial number through the official Autel system.
What is the difference between IM508S and IM508S Pro?
Both versions use the same IM508S diagnostic tablet. The main difference is the programmer package.
The IM508S includes the XP200, while the IM508S Pro adds the XP400 Pro, providing more advanced EEPROM, MCU, ECU, transponder and immobilizer programming capabilities.
Can the IM508S program car keys?
Yes. It supports professional key and immobilizer functions including Add Key, Key Learning, Remote Learning and supported All Keys Lost procedures.
Does the device include free software updates?
Both versions include 1 Year of Free Software Updates. Update renewal can be purchased separately after the included period.
What happens after the free update period ends?
The device will not lock itself after the free update period ends, and no mandatory subscription is required.
You can continue using the software version already installed on the device, including reading and clearing fault codes, viewing live data, supported Active Tests, and supported service functions.
Renewing the update service is optional and mainly provides access to future software updates, newer vehicle coverage, and supported online features.
Some functions that require server access, such as certain online programming, online coding, security gateway access, and newer online services, may require an active update service.
If you choose not to renew immediately, you can still renew later whenever needed.
