TOPDON ONE Plus is built for independent repair shops and diagnostic specialists who need multi-brand diagnostics and take on BMW or Volkswagen Group control-unit work. It combines full-system scanning, ECU coding for 10+ brands, OE-style topology mapping, bi-directional active tests and selected BMW/VAG ECU programming in one 10.1-inch tablet.

Start with a vehicle scan, identify the affected module, check live data and run supported tests. When the vehicle and control unit allow it, continue with the required coding or programming procedure and verify the repair. This connected workflow is especially useful for workshops replacing supported modules or handling post-repair configuration.

ONE Plus is especially suited to multi-brand workshops that regularly see BMW and Volkswagen Group module replacement, software and post-repair configuration jobs. Two years of software updates are included.

On supported BMW and Volkswagen Group vehicles, ONE Plus provides integrated ECU programming for four core system categories: engine (ECM), transmission (TCM), airbag (SRS) and anti-lock brakes (ABS). Depending on the vehicle and control unit, eligible procedures may include programming a blank replacement ECU, updating an ECU software version, backing up ECU data and recovering data.

This helps a workshop take on selected control-unit replacement and software jobs using the ONE Plus tablet workflow. Programming support is specific to the VIN, ECU part number, software version and required authorisation; support for a brand does not mean every module or procedure is available.

Alongside its BMW/VAG programming capability, ONE Plus supports ECU coding for 10+ vehicle brands. On compatible vehicles, technicians can perform available component matching, adaptations and configuration changes after repairs. One-Click Customisation offers preset shortcuts for selected driver preferences, such as lighting, locking, windows and mirrors, where supported by the connected vehicle.

Coding changes a supported control unit's settings or configuration; programming writes or updates its software. The available menus depend on the make, model, year, ECU and software version.

Component Matching and System Configuration

For supported vehicles, the topology map displays the control-unit network and highlights modules with fault codes. Technicians can locate an affected system, open the relevant module and continue with DTCs, live data and targeted checks.

Bi-directional active tests allow the scanner to command supported components and observe their response. Depending on the vehicle, examples may include the cooling fan, fuel pump, injectors, locks or lights. Use these tests with physical checks and live data to narrow down a fault and confirm the result after repair.

Topology and active-test availability vary by vehicle. Protected operations may also require security-gateway authorisation.

TopFix AI Repair Guidance

TopFix AI helps technicians move beyond the fault-code number. For supported vehicles and DTCs, it brings together clear fault-code explanations, likely causes, related symptoms and structured repair guidance within the TOPDON ONE Plus diagnostic workflow.

Where available, wiring diagrams and technical references are displayed alongside the fault information. Technicians can use these resources to plan more focused checks, compare the guidance with live data and active-test results, and verify the actual cause before replacing components.

From Fault Identification to Repair Verification

Integrated on the ONE Plus tablet: selected BMW/VAG ECU programming for supported ECM, TCM, SRS and ABS modules using TOPDON's own workflow.

With manufacturer software on a Windows PC: the included ONE VCI can act as a J2534 Pass-Thru interface for compatible OEM diagnostic or programming procedures. Manufacturer software, accounts, subscriptions and any related fees must be obtained separately. The procedures available through J2534 depend on the vehicle and OEM software; TOPDON states that DoIP system diagnostics are not supported when the VCI is used with OEM software.

J2534 compatibility is a separate workflow and does not mean every manufacturer can be programmed directly from the tablet.

TOPDON ONE Plus supports immobiliser and key programming functions on compatible vehicles, including adding new keys, deleting old keys and programming keys after all keys are lost. Available procedures depend on the vehicle make, model, year and immobiliser system.
